Even the best dramas can sometimes have your most annoying characters. What makes the character disturbing is the way it is written and how it is represented. Most of the time, both of these factors are responsible for making the character annoying.
The character also gets on the nerves of the viewers when it stops meaning entirely. Other times, there is no character development which frustrates viewers.
Here is a list of some of the most disturbing characters in current Pakistani dramas.
Nirma (Jhooti)
The drama series Gotti is about Nirma more than any other character. At first, viewers showed in an unconvincing way how this Jute got away with everything from lying to theft. She is one of those characters who have no layers at all and even negativity is meaningless.Nerma was able to marry, get property, money and everything she wanted without anyone questioning her actions. It was so upsetting to watch her dad fall for every trick she pulled.
It was a relaxing way to get her character to get away with it all! When I met Ali, I suddenly turned into the most gullible person.
All her falsehood disappeared and she was deceived by every lie she was told. Nirma's character had no meaning all the time and performed dear read as bad as the character himself.
Hamna (Ishqiya)
Hamnah has bothered viewers from the start. She was testing the patience of the viewers with her silence and her folly. With the exception of the first and second episodes or episodes,Hamneh had very few conversations and there were many times when it was impossible to know why she had hidden everything from her sister. This character got a lot of screen time in the drama because she is the lead character in the play,
but Hammina has no character at all! Even after watching the many episodes, viewers kept wondering who Hamneh is !!
Although Hamna is somehow supposed to be human, you definitely don't feel it. She barely has any dialogues, and in most dramas,
Ramsha Khan has the same emotionless face. Hamneh "got lost" since she found out that her father wanted her to marry Azim, and since then she has not been able to find herself. Recently,
I decided to tell the great truth about the strangest moment. She did not tell Romaysa that her father was ill and most importantly, she did not share the truth about Hamza with Rumaisa and let her marry him!
Miraal (Sabaat)
Miraal is the central character in the drama series Seven and most viewers were looking forward to watching Sara Khan play a negative role in this drama. Unfortunately, shortly after the drama began, most viewers were extremely disappointed with the role this character took. Miraal has been shown to be a control freak, someone who wants everything his way but that's all about her character!
The character is completely lacking in layers, Sara Khan's attire and the way the director has shown covering her scenes suggests that she is really smart and on the level of big things but all she does is interfere with her brother's life and treat people like trash! The Leading Lady of the Seven seems more annoying than interesting.
Sabeeh (Dil Ruba)
Sabeeh is the male version of all those we see human in our dramas all the time. He might have liked Hump since the day he met her and even after all she did, his feelings hadn't changed. There was no development in the character and instead of feeling towards him, majestic Mirza's performance makes you want to skip the scenes of Sabih.
Watching Sabih Basharji tends to be really annoying, just like Hamneh, he's been crying and suffering since the first episode which was boring and boring to the viewer!
Zoya (Kashf)
Zoya is the most common character in the drama with a different story. Zoya's path is also the most disturbing aspect of the lovable drama. She is one of those many sisters that we have seen time and time again in Pakistani dramas since Maat appeared on air and his only goal in life is to win marriage and eventually marry their sister's fiancé.
Zoya is complicit and "focuses" on her mission! It's annoying to watch her scenes in a drama that already has enough negative characters and she didn't need a sibling rivalry path that was already done to death in Pakistani dramas!
Although Zoya knows very well that Wojdan loves Kashef, she clearly does not care and she is very sure that once she marries him, she will be happy!
This drama could have taken place without such a character and this track because it is just so annoying and unnecessary.
Esa (Pyar Ke Sadqay)
Shanzay's husband, Esa, had a short role in the drama but he was just so annoying! The character of Isa was as unpleasant as the performance of the actor who played the role.Viewers are left to wonder why the writer decided to add such a character to a play featuring some of the most layered and most engraved characters. Watching the Esa scene was painful thanks to the character and the acting!
Shanzay (Pyar Ke Sadqay)
Shanzay is introduced as a wise and reasonable girl in the drama series Pyar Ke Sadqay. Once she married Issa, something changed drastically and even now, viewers just couldn't figure out why she turned into such such an annoying and hopeless loser!Shanzay's scenes are more disturbing due to Yashma Gill's exaggeration in the play. Although viewers are supposed to hate Shanza, the character no longer makes perfect sense and is thus confusing.
